Miah’s Kitchen Reviews
I recently tried the vegan hot oil biangbiang noodles and cold skin noodles at this restaurant and was blown away by the delicious flavors. The hot oil noodles were incredibly spicy, so if you prefer milder options, I highly recommend the sesame cold skin noodles. Despite the unconventional name, they were surprisingly tasty. Don't forget to also try the sour plum juice and flatbread - they are a must-try! Having lived in Xi'an for a few months, I can attest that the food here is truly authentic and reminiscent of my time in the city. Overall, a wonderful dining experience that brought back fond memories for me.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and I must say, the biang biang noodles were a delightful surprise! They were not only flavorful but also incredibly filling. I was genuinely impressed by the portion size and how satisfying the dish was. In my opinion, this dish alone deserves a higher rating for the restaurant. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed!
I recently discovered a hidden gem on the east side - Miah's Kitchen. This Chinese restaurant has quickly become my favorite spot in town. The menu is filled with unique and authentic dishes that are simply delicious. It's like tasting a piece of China right here in our city. The flavors remind me of the home-style cooking I grew up with, making me feel right at home every time I dine here. My family and I now regularly order takeout from Miah's Kitchen - it's become our go-to spot for a satisfying meal. I highly recommend giving this place a try - you won't be disappointed!
During my latest dining experience, I decided to try the BiangBiang Noodles with Egg Tomato and Pork Zha Jiang. The soup's flavor was absolutely phenomenal, bursting with deliciousness. However, I couldn't help but notice that the noodles seemed a bit stale and tough to chew on. It would have been nice if they were fresher and more tender, as it would have significantly enhanced the overall dish.
What a pleasant surprise! I didn't know what to expect, but the authentic Xi'an cuisine at this restaurant truly exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be returning for more delicious meals in the future.
Tucked away on a hidden street on NE 20th, we stumbled upon a delightful surprise. Despite their listing stating they were closed, the open sign beckoned us inside. To our delight, we discovered they offered Chinese Breakfast – a rare find that had us excited. The breakfast spread was small but perfectly curated, providing just the right amount to kickstart our day. The Donuts were a standout, with a fluffy texture that left us craving for more. The Wonton Soup, complete with seaweed, was a savory and satisfying choice. We also couldn't resist trying the Soy Milk, which was rich and creamy, and accompanied by fresh garlic for an added burst of flavor. And of course, the pork bun was a must-try that did not disappoint. Overall, this hidden gem on NE 20th exceeded our expectations and left us eager to return for another delicious experience.
I recently had the pleasure of trying the lamb soup with handmade noodles at this restaurant, and it truly was a comforting experience. The soup was bursting with flavor, and the noodles were wonderfully fresh. If you're a fan of lamb, I highly recommend giving this flavorful noodle soup a try. It's a perfect dish for those looking to warm both their stomach and their heart.
I used to be a regular at this restaurant when I lived just around the corner. The chef, who I fondly refer to as the grandmother in the kitchen, always had a warm smile for the customers. Whenever she had a spare moment, she would come out of the kitchen and engage with the children, even preparing special noodle dishes just for them. Her mutton noodles and small side dishes are truly authentic and delicious. Although I have since moved away, I find myself coming back to this restaurant whenever I can, as it feels like coming home.
After recently visiting Xi'an and falling in love with the cuisine, I have been on the search for a great restaurant on the Eastside. Miah's Kitchen, while offering an affordable and authentic dining experience, left me craving more flavor and spice that I associate with Xi'an cuisine. My family and I visited Miah's Kitchen on a busy weekend and were promptly seated with fast and friendly service. I must note that speaking Chinese may enhance the overall experience. To start, we ordered the green onion pancake and sliced beef for appetizers. Unfortunately, the green onion pancake was disappointingly dry compared to other places I have tried. However, the sliced beef was a highlight with its lean cuts and delicious flavor that we ended up ordering another serving. For the main course, I opted for a small bowl of Tomato and Egg Biang Biang noodles. Although this is a classic Chinese dish, I found it lacking in flavor with a diluted taste. The noodles, on the other hand, were dense and chewy, reminiscent of handmade Biang Biang noodles that added a nice texture to the dish. If ordering appetizers, a small portion of these noodles is sufficient due to their density. With a bill under $60 for three people, Miah's Kitchen offers good value for the price. While the noodles were on the bland side for my taste, I did notice many diners ordering a large hot plate of sizzling chicken and potatoes which caught my interest. I may return to try that dish, but I will likely skip the egg and tomato noodles in the future.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant that serves up authentic Xi'an flavors. One dish that really stood out to me was the shredded noodle with lamb soup. The flavors instantly transported me back to my time in Shan'Xi, where I first fell in love with this delicious combination. It was a nostalgic and satisfying experience that I highly recommend to anyone looking to explore the rich cuisine of Xi'an.
